This water drop photo is pure macro photography depicting a waterdrop that is refracting a smiley face while being poured from a red solo cup. The smiley face is NOT placed into the photo through photoshop.
This photograph recently was awarded an honor by Lillian Tone, the Curator at the Museum of Modern Art in the show gallery juried exhibit "COLORS" at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition in August, 2016.
"I started out taking a trip to Italy. It was my first time in Europe and I decided to buy a new camera with a long lens. Well that was the beginning of my photographic journey. I couldn't put the camera down! I loved taking the photos, looking at them in my computer, cropping them, playing with colors and tones, until the vision on the screen looked the way I saw it (and sometimes the way I would like to see it!). I came home, quickly upgraded my camera to a fancier DSLR and began learning everything I could! Years later and I am still learning and loving it just as much...maybe even more.
